Sweatson Klank: Oblique

Glimmering synths, expertly chopped samples, and brooding bass notes splayed across some of the sexiest, most soulful beats you’ve ever heard. Such are the productions, the little playthings of Sweatson Klank. A maven in the celebrated electronic music industry in Los Angeles, Klank who is formerly known as TAKE has been a standout for years. Not only for his sonic concoctions, which blur the lines between hip-hop , electronic and futuristic R&B‚ between hard hitting tunes and tear jerking soul expeditions‚ but also his stunning live performances, which can sprint from tranquil ambient musings to full-blown, low-end exuberance in an instant.

(Sweatson Klank Remix)

Having worked with some of todays most ambitious labels, including Warp, Ghostly, Brainfeeder, Alpha Pup Dublab, Poobah, Eat Concrete,  and his newest home Project Mooncircle, Sweatson Klank has helped to shape the sound of todays future music.  His catalog is as diverse as it is poignant. A favorite of BBC1/XFM tastemaker Mary Anne Hobbs, he has shared the stage with luminaries Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Araab Muzik, Toro Y Moi, Washed Out, Nosaj Thing, Hudson Mohawke, Just Blaze, TOKiMONSTA, Mary Anne Hobbs herself, and countless others. He has also remixed the likes of Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Shigeto, Warpaint, ASAP Rocky, Jeremih, indie darlings CULTS and many more.

Sweatson Klank: The Get Over

Melding the aural architecture of all of his influences with a dramatic and futuristic vision, his latest incarnation is the stunning You, Me, Temporary album out on Project Mooncircle. A record that blurs the lines between hip hop, R&B, and electronic music so effortlessly while recounting a timeless story of love in the fast lane through the eyes of its protagonist: Sweatson Klank.
